Key indices exhibited a lackluster trade on Friday amid mixed global cues inspite of news flow on debt fund taxation and hike in STT up to 25 per cent for F&O traders. The government has hiked the securities transaction tax (STT) by 23.52 per cent on the sale of options and 25 per cent on the sale of futures contracts.

At 14:38 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 57724.05 down by -201.23 points or by -0.35 % and then NSE Nifty was at 16983.45 down by -93.45 points or by -0.55 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 58066.4 and intraday low of 57608.95 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 17109.45 and intraday low of 16981.05

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1698.50,+1.15%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1384.60,+0.73%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1107.05,+0.66%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 3139.50,+0.50%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2802.10,+0.17%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1250.00,-3.12%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 5694.95,-2.43%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 102.90,-1.86%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 2217.70,-1.33%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 2484.70,-1.32%), among others.
