Indian benchmark continued to hover in red during the noon trading session on Thursday and extended losses as global cues were muted and concerns of a larger rate hike by the US Fed next week loomed.
At 12:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 60045.71 down by -302.38 points or by -0.5 % and then NSE Nifty was at 17653.15 down by -101.25 points or by -0.57 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 60467.09 and intraday low of 60010.98 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 17772.35 and intraday low of 17651.75
