Strong global mood propelled domestic markets higher in Friday's trade. Broader markets, too, inched higher in trade as Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 100 indices surged up to 0.7 per cent. Volatility index, India VIX, meanwhile, slipped over 5 per cent.
All sectors swimmed in the sea of green, with Nifty PSU Bank, and Nifty Metal indices leading the charge and gaining up to 3 per cent.
At 9:28 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 59405.9 up by 496.55 points or by 0.84 % and then NSE Nifty was at 17321.9 down by -129 points or by -0.74 %.
