Stock markets opened on a positive note on Wednesday, despite mixed global cues.

Leading the gainers were Infosys, Tech Mahindra, TCS, ICICI Bank, Tata Steel, HCL Tech, Adani Ports, Wipro, Hero MotoCorp, JSW Steel, Hindalco, and Sun Pharma.

On the other hand, IndusInd Bank, Shriram Finance, Apollo Hospitals, BEL, HDFC Bank, Nestle India, and Asian Paints were among the top losers in early trade.

At 9:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 83767.91 up by 70.62 points or by 0.08 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25585.95 up by 44.15 points or by 0.17 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 83935.01 and intraday low of 83732.7 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25608.1 and intraday low of 25573.15

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1639.75,+1.96%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 3464.55,+1.02%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1685.30,+0.83%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 335.10,+0.75%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 161.00,+0.66%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 854.95,-2.77%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 2034.70,-0.90%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2347.70,-0.89%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 2389.45,-0.86%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 259.25,-0.69%), among others.
