Equity benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty extended their gains for the fourth consecutive session on Friday, driven by strong buying in blue-chip stocks like ICICI Bank and Reliance Industries. Investor sentiment was further lifted by renewed foreign fund inflows, a strengthening rupee against the US dollar, and declining crude oil prices in global markets, traders said.

The 30-share benchmark indices ended at 84058.9 up by 303.03 points or by 0.36 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25637.8 up by 88.8 points or by 0.35 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 84089.35 and intraday low of 83645.41 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25654.2 and intraday low of 25523.55

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2359.25,+3.06%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 857.75,+2.61%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 12234.95,+2.43%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 299.60,+2.11%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1461.75,+1.56%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 262.15,-1.13%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1675.10,-0.93%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1225.20,-0.74%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3670.00,-0.66%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 946.55,-0.52%), among others.
