Breaking a two-day winning streak, the Sensex plunged nearly 625 points, dragged down by heavy selling in banking, IT, and auto stocks.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 81551.63 down by -624.82 points or by -0.76 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24826.2 down by -174.95 points or by -0.7 %.
