Stock market benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty continued to trade lower on Friday as tensions soared between India and Pakistan fuelling fears of a wider conflict.
At 10:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 79517.92 down by -816.89 points or by -1.02 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24018.3 down by -255.5 points or by -1.05 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 80032.93 and intraday low of 78968.34 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24164.25 and intraday low of 23935.75
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3494.30,+3.89%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3429.60,+3.28%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 696.60,+2.16%), State Bank of India (Rs. 772.65,+0.51%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2309.65,+0.31%), among others.
The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 300.00,-2.55%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 331.75,-2.35%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 11356.30,-2.35%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1403.10,-2.15%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1302.75,-2.05%), among others.
