Mid-Session: Sensex up 52 points; HCL Technologies, Tata Motors gain

Domestic bourses continued to trade flat with positive bias during the noon trading session supported by buying in HCL Technologies Ltd.Tata Motors Ltd. Titan Company Ltd.Axis Bank Ltd and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. among others.

At 12:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 80799.75 up by 52.97 points or by 0.07 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24402.35 down by -12.05 points or by -0.05 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 80927.99 and intraday low of 80657.3 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24447.25 and intraday low of 24373.45

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1588.95,+1.68%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 691.55,+1.62%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3393.10,+1.58%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1176.55,+1.27%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1354.60,+1.21%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 229.00,-3.33%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3054.55,-2.09%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 12420.80,-1.65%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 144.25,-1.40%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 825.50,-0.92%), among others.

CGS index was at 62805.75 up by 421.75 points or by 0.68%. Grindwell Norton Ltd. (Rs. 1681.35,+8.56%), Schaeffler India Ltd. (Rs. 3730.60,+2.90%), CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd. (Rs. 626.10,+2.73%), Timken India Ltd. (Rs. 2777.65,+2.71%), Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd. (Rs. 717.75,+2.46%),.

Auto index was at 51316.99 down by -470.52 points or by -0.91%. Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3051.00,-2.21%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 12387.60,-1.91%), Eicher Motors Ltd. (Rs. 5385.00,-1.82%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (Rs. 3810.00,-1.50%), Ashok Leyland Ltd. (Rs. 223.60,-1.39%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3993 , shares advanced were 2614 while 1187 shares declined and 192 were unchanged.
