Infosys, a global leader in digital services and consulting, has announced a strategic collaboration with Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) to lead a large-scale digital transformation initiative across its network of approximately 300 schools.
The partnership highlights Infosys’ strength in delivering managed services within the education sector. Under this engagement, Infosys will implement a suite of enterprise platforms—including SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SAP SuccessFactors, as well as solutions for identity and access management, and master data management. These efforts aim to migrate MACS’ core ERP systems to the cloud, streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and lay the groundwork for future innovation.
A key component of the initiative is the creation of a unified digital workspace, offering personalized, role-based access. This setup is designed to promote collaboration through team-based communities and improve communication across the school network. Additionally, the enhanced master data management system will enable real-time, accurate data access and provide a scalable foundation for future generative AI applications in line with MACS' strategic goals.
The collaboration is poised to become a benchmark for AI-driven ERP modernization in the education sector. Infosys will provide end-to-end digital service management, allowing MACS to focus on improving educational outcomes while maintaining operational excellence and preparing for a digitally enabled future.
Dr Edward Simons, Executive Director at MACS, remarked, “Quality education depends on effective systems. Building the right digital foundation is complex and requires deep expertise. We chose Infosys for their proven ability to handle such challenges, and we’re confident this partnership will allow our teachers to spend less time managing systems and more time with students.”
Vicki Russell, Chief Technology and Transformation Officer at MACS, added, “Partnering with Infosys enables us to modernize our systems and align them to better serve our school communities. With a future-ready platform in place, we can drive innovation, foster collaboration, and deliver high-quality education at scale.”
Peter Moore, Head of Partner Ecosystem at SAP Asia Pacific, said, “MACS is a large and dynamic organization, with over 18,000 staff supporting 120,000 students. Leveraging SAP S/4HANA Cloud and SAP SuccessFactors with Infosys’ support will simplify and modernize operations, enhance staff support, and unlock the full potential of AI and data to enrich the experience for both students and educators.”
Raja Shah, EVP and Industry Head – Global Markets at Infosys, stated, “This partnership marks a key milestone for Infosys in Australia. MACS is setting an ambitious vision for digital transformation in education, and we are proud to contribute our expertise and managed service capabilities. Together with SAP, we are building a cloud-based, AI-ready platform that empowers both educators and administrators.”
