Zinc prices declined by 0.31% to ?257.65 per kilogram on Thursday in futures trading, as traders pared down their positions amid weak demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for July delivery were down 80 paise or 0.31% at ?257.65 per kg, with 3,484 lots traded.
Analysts attributed the price drop to reduced buying interest from consuming industries in the physical market, prompting speculators to cut their exposure.
