Aluminium prices dropped by Rs 1.35 to Rs 249.20 per kilogram in futures trading on Thursday, as traders reduced their positions amid a sluggish trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium contracts for July delivery slipped Rs 1.35 or 0.54% to Rs 249.20 per kg, with 4,224 lots traded.
According to analysts, the decline was primarily driven by reduced demand from consuming industries, prompting participants to scale back their holdings.
