Copper prices rose by 0.28% to Rs 900.80 per kilogram in futures trade on Wednesday, driven by increased demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for July delivery gained Rs 2.50, or 0.28%, to Rs 900.80 per kg, with a turnover of 8,157 lots.
Analysts said the uptick in prices was supported by higher participation and increased buying interest at current levels.
