Gold prices rose by Rs 548 to Rs 96,018 per 10 grams in Monday’s futures trade, driven by fresh buying amid firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for August delivery gained Rs 548 or 0.57% to trade at Rs 96,018 per 10 grams, with a business volume of 14,218 lots.
Analysts attributed the uptick to fresh position-building by participants in response to robust demand in the physical market.
