Aluminium prices dropped by Rs 2.75 to Rs 247.70 per kg in futures trade on Tuesday, as traders reduced their positions amid a subdued trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium contracts for July delivery fell by 1.1% to Rs 247.70 per kg, with a turnover of 3,574 lots.
According to analysts, the decline was primarily driven by reduced buying interest from consuming industries, leading participants to pare down their holdings.
