Zinc prices declined by 0.34% to Rs 252.85 per kilogram on Friday in the futures market, as traders pared down their positions amid weak demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for July delivery dropped by 85 paise, or 0.34%, to Rs 252.85 per kg, with 2,163 lots traded.
Analysts attributed the price fall to reduced interest from speculators, driven by sluggish demand from end-use industries in the physical market.
