Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. has secured its largest-ever order in the solar pump segment, reinforcing its leadership in sustainable irrigation solutions. The company has received a Letter of Award (LoA) worth over ?101 crore (excluding GST) from the Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) under Component-B of the PM-KUSUM scheme.
The order entails the design, manufacture, supply, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of 4,500 Off-grid Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) across Maharashtra. The contract also includes a comprehensive five-year maintenance component, ensuring long-term support and operational reliability.
This milestone reflects Crompton’s continued focus on empowering farmers with clean energy solutions, particularly in off-grid and rural areas where consistent access to water remains a challenge. The company will utilize its robust after-sales service network, trained field personnel, and district-level teams to ensure smooth execution across the state.
