ACME Solar Holdings Ltd. has successfully commissioned an additional 19.8 MW capacity of its maiden wind energy project in Shapar, Gujarat, raising the total operational capacity of the project to 46.2 MW out of the planned 50 MW. The remaining capacity is expected to be commissioned in the coming days.
With this milestone, ACME Solar’s total installed renewable energy capacity has increased to 2,826.2 MW.
Strategically located in one of India’s most wind-rich regions, the project is being developed under the company's special purpose vehicle, ACME Pokhran, and is funded by Power Finance Corporation (PFC). Power generated will be supplied under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) signed with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).
ACME is executing the project through its in-house EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) team, making the development cost-effective and ensuring timely delivery. The clean energy generated is pooled at a 33/220 kV station and transmitted via a dedicated 220 kV single-circuit line to the Shapar sub-station.
The sub-station will also serve another of ACME’s wind projects in the area, which is currently in advanced stages of construction, further strengthening the company’s presence in the renewable sector.
