Sigachi Industries Limited has secured the Terms of Reference (ToR) approval for its upcoming Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and specialty chemicals manufacturing facility in Orvakal, Andhra Pradesh. This strategic project, spread across 25.09 acres at Plot No. A-10, Guttapadu-Orvakal Node, marks a key step forward in the company’s growth and expansion strategy.
The proposed facility falls under Category B1 of the Synthetic Organic Chemicals sector, as per Schedule 5(f) of the EIA Notification, 2006. With ToR approval now granted, the company will initiate the Environmental Clearance (EC) process from July 15, 2025, with on-ground project development activities scheduled to begin from August 1, 2025.
The Orvakal project is poised to:
Strengthen Sigachi’s API manufacturing capabilities and global footprint
Support expansion into regulated and semi-regulated markets
Leverage a strategically located site with strong export potential
Align with the “Make in India” initiative through sustainable and world-class infrastructure
