Crude Oil Futures Rise on Strong Spot Demand

Crude oil prices climbed Rs 57 to Rs 5,248 per barrel in Wednesday's futures trade as traders boosted their positions amid firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, June crude oil contracts rose Rs 57 or 1.1% to Rs Rs 5,248 per barrel, with a trading volume of 11,966 lots.

Analysts attributed the gain to increased buying interest from market participants.
