Copper prices edged down to 863.90 rupees per kilogram in Wednesday's futures trade as participants trimmed their positions amid subdued demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for June delivery slipped by 10 paise or 0.01 percent to 863.90 rupees per kg, with a turnover of 6,467 lots.
Analysts said the slight decline was driven by reduced interest from traders.
