Silver futures slip on profit booking

Silver prices fell by Rs 57 to Rs 97,997 per kilogram in futures trade on Monday, as traders trimmed their positions.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), silver contracts for July delivery dropped Rs 57, or 0.06%, to Rs 97,997 per kg, with a business turnover of 17,276 lots.

Analysts attributed the decline to profit booking by participants at prevailing price levels.
