Copper prices edged lower on Monday, slipping 0.09% to Rs 866.05 per kilogram in futures trading, as traders trimmed positions amid subdued domestic demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for June delivery declined by 80 paise, or 0.09%, to Rs 866.05 per kg, with a business volume of 6,430 lots.
Analysts said the decline was driven by reduced interest from participants due to lackluster market demand.
