Gold prices moved higher on Friday, rising by Rs 527 to Rs 96,063 per 10 grams in futures trade, as traders created fresh positions amid strong demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold contracts for June delivery were up by Rs 527 or 0.55% at Rs 96,063 per 10 grams, with a business volume of 9,786 lots.
Analysts attributed the price increase to fresh buying interest from market participants.
