Aluminium prices on Thursday edged up by 10 paise to ?239.80 per kilogram in futures trading, as speculators added fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium contracts for June delivery gained 10 paise, or 0.04%, to close at ?239.80 per kg, with a turnover of 3,032 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in aluminium futures to new positions taken by traders, supported by demand from consuming industries.
