Gold prices surged by Rs 918 to reach Rs 93,359 per 10 grams in futures trade on Monday, driven by renewed buying interest and strong spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the June gold contracts rose by Rs 918 or 0.99% to Rs 93,260 per 10 grams, with a trading volume of 10,743 lots.
Analysts attributed the price rise to fresh positions taken by participants amid firm market sentiment.
