Copper futures edged up by 0.29 per cent to Rs 857.80 per kilogram on Tuesday, supported by strong demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for June delivery increased by Rs 2.50 or 0.29 per cent to Rs 857.80 per kg, with a trading volume of 1,658 lots.
Analysts said the uptrend was driven by participants placing higher bets, reflecting improved market sentiment.
