As of March 2025, 73.38% is owned by Indian Promoters and 26.62% by Public.

Institutional holds 2.99% (Insurance Companies 0.41%) and Non-Institutional holds 23.12% as Public shareholders.

Top five Promoters holding highest number of shares of Tata Investment company are Tata Sons Private Limited (346.65 lakhs shares / 68.51%), Ewart Investments Limited (8.06 lakhs shares / 1.59%), The Tata Power Company Limited (7.94 lakhs shares / 1.57%), Tata Chemicals Limited (4.41 lakhs shares / 0.87%) and Tata Steel Limited (2.28 lakhs shares / 0.45%).
