Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, recorded sales of 5,899,187 units (5.9 million) in the financial year 2025 (April 2024 to March 2025). In December 2024, the company marked a historic achievement by maintaining its market leadership for the 24th consecutive year and carrying this momentum into its 25th year of dominance.
Expanding its presence in the electric vehicle (EV) sector, Hero MotoCorp recorded its highest-ever EV sales, with a remarkable 200% growth over FY’24. The company also strengthened its foothold in international markets, achieving a robust 40% year-on-year growth in global business.
In March 2025, Hero MotoCorp sold 549,604 units of motorcycles and scooters, reflecting a 12% growth compared to the same month in the previous year. The company also achieved its highest-ever monthly dispatches in the global market, selling 39,518 units, representing a 27% increase over March 2024. VIDA, the company’s electric scooter brand, gained strong market traction, dispatching 7,787 units of its VIDA V2 model.
Within India, Hero MotoCorp sold 5,611,758 units during FY’25, surpassing the previous year's performance. In global markets, the company achieved sales of 287,429 units, marking an impressive 43% increase from the 200,923 units sold in the prior fiscal year. VIDA continued its upward trajectory, dispatching over 58,000 electric scooters between April 2024 and March 2025. To enhance customer convenience, Hero MotoCorp established an extensive VIDA fast-charging network, featuring more than 3,600 charging points across 250+ cities in India, alongside a strong network of over 500 service stations.
The company also maintained a strong position in the premium motorcycle segment, selling over 11,000 units of the Harley-Davidson X440 in FY’25. To elevate the premium customer experience, Hero MotoCorp expanded its Premia dealership network to over 80 locations across the country, providing dedicated spaces for Hero, VIDA, and Harley-Davidson products. Additionally, its Hero 2.0 network grew to 930 outlets, enhancing accessibility for customers.
Hero MotoCorp remains the only Indian two-wheeler company to be listed in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) World and the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) Emerging Markets, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable business practices. The company also received the prestigious Sword of Honour from the British Safety Council.
Further strengthening its product portfolio, Hero MotoCorp commenced dispatches of the newly launched Xoom 125 scooter in March 2025, following the success of the Destini 125. Additionally, bookings began for the highly anticipated Xpulse 210 and Xtreme 250R premium motorcycles.
In a significant strategic move, Hero MotoCorp announced its entry into the electric three-wheeler segment by acquiring a major stake in Euler Motors. The company’s Board approved a strategic investment of up to Rs. 525 crores in Euler Motors Private Limited, reinforcing its commitment to the evolving EV market.
