Bharat Forge Limited has signed the largest domestic defence contract with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for the supply of 184 Advanced Towed Artillery Gun Systems (ATAGS), representing 60% of the Rs 6900 crore procurement. Developed in collaboration with DRDO, the ATAGS is a state-of-the-art 155/52 mm calibre artillery system.
Baba Kalyani, Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Forge Limited, expressed pride in this achievement, calling it a significant milestone towards realizing Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat in defence. He acknowledged the steadfast support of the MoD, the Indian Army, DRDO, ARDE, and the Bharat Forge team for their collective efforts in making this milestone possible.
